Government treasurers all Traditional Ceremonies-HH

Republican President Hakainde Hichilema says government treasures all traditional ceremonies in the country as they play a key role in uniting the country.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Chitimukulu in Mungwi District ,Mr Hichilema said traditional ceremonies must help to unite the country.
He explained that as a traditionalist, he believes in investing and sustaining heritage for future generation.
He added that government is looking up to the traditional leadership to help bring people together to foster unite and development.
“Zambia has 10 provinces and all the ceremonies are our ceremonies.”He said.
The president has expressed delight to attend this year’s Ukusefya Pa ngw’ena traditional ceremony.
Mr Hichilema also appealed to the traditional leader to encourage his subjects in the various chiefdoms to grow more food in the 2024/2025 farming season.
He added that Northern Province has this year recorded a high production of food for the country.
“There is no reason to be fighting each other, our focus is to bring development to our people. ”
And Mwine Lubemba has thanked the president for honouring the invitation to attend pthe Ukusefya Pa ngw’ena ceremony.
The Mwine Lubemba kanyanta manga the second said he is encouraged with how the head of state respects and honors culture.
He noted that the people of the bemba kingdom are equally elated to see how the president treasures culture.
He also added that traditional ceremonies are a unifying factor for the country.
“When you attend traditional ceremonies we are encouraged.People are delighted to see how much you treature culture.”He said.
The president later paid a courtesy call on the traditional leaders from various provinces of the country.
Mr Hichilema urged the leaders to help drive unity and foster development in their various chiefdoms.
“I am happy to see chiefs from our various provinces of the country.Traditional leaders help us drive unity in the country,visit one another.”He noted.
