President Hichilema expected in Northern to grace the Ukusefya pa ngwena ceremony

Republican President Hakainde Hichilema is tomorrow expected in Kasama and Mungwi Districts in Northern Province.
The President will be in the Province on a one-day visit where he is expected to attend the Ukusefya Pa ngw’ena traditional ceremony of the Bemba-speaking people.
Disclosing the visit to the press at his office in Kasama today, Northern Province Permanent Secretary Bernard Mpundu said President Hichilema is expected to land at Kasama Airport around 09:00 hours.
Mr Mpundu said the President will immediately after arrival proceed to Mungwi District where the ceremony will be held.
“I wish to announce to the public that tomorrow President Hakainde Hichilema is expected in Northern Province where he will join the mwinelubemba to celebrate the Ukusefya Pa ngw’ena traditional ceremony in Mungwi District,” He said.
The Permanent Secretary added that the President while in Mungwi will pay a courtesy call on the Chitimukulu, and other traditional leaders who will be attending the ceremony.
Mr Mpundu explained that while in Mungwi, the president will also have an opportunity to tour exhibition stands at Ngwena before the main ceremony.
He said President Hichilema is scheduled to fly back to Lusaka after the ceremony around 16:30 hours.
The ukusefya pa ngwena traditional ceremony starts today, with the main event taking place tomorrow on Saturday.
