“On April 24th, around 12:30 hours, police received information from the informant to the effect that he had seen some people taking a fridge and a television set suspected to be stolen in one of the houses in Musenga compound.” She said
She said police raided the house of 27-year-old Clement Chimeya of Musenga Township in Kasama, conducted a search, and recovered the items.
She said police only found the wife at home while the suspect was not home and has remained at large.
“Upon receiving such information, police officers rushed to the same house for a 27-year-old Clement Chimeya who was not present at the time the search was conducted in the presence of the 24-year-old wife Natasha Kunda,” she said.
