Paramount Chief Chitimukulu welcomes new Northern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary
Kasama—Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people of Northern and Muchinga Provinces has pledged to work with government officials to spearhead development in the region.
The Paramount Chief further pledged his commitment to support the northern provincial administration in ensuring the development of the area.
He said this when Northern Province Permanent Secretary Bernard Mpundu and newly appointed provincial Deputy Permanent Secretary Beauty Undi Phiri called on him at his residence in Kasama.
The traditional leader expressed confidence that Ms Phiri will execute her duties in the province diligently.
He said he is confident that the new DPS will bring new ideas that will help foster development in the region.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu further advised Ms. Phiri to remain loyal to the government of the day.
Meanwhile, newly appointed Northern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Beauty Undi Phiri, reaffirmed her commitment to execute her duties with diligence.
Ms Phiri said she will work hand in hand with the permanent secretary and other stakeholders to implement government policies.
Ms. Phiri was recently swapped with Northern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Lewis Mwape, who has since been moved to Eastern Province.
